Our organization was featured in New Vision following the handover of smart surveillance and protective equipment to Uganda Wildlife Authority.

According to the New Vision article by Julius Luwemba, Conservation Through Public Health donated equipment worth UGX 113 million to support the protection of gorillas and chimpanzees in the Bwindi-Mgahinga conservation area against the risk of Ebola and other zoonotic diseases.

The package included non-contact infrared thermometers, branded rain gear for UWA rangers, smartphones for wildlife health monitoring, and solar power banks.

We appreciate the recognition of this important conservation and public health intervention, and we remain committed to supporting a One Health approach that protects wildlife, frontline rangers, communities, and Uganda’s tourism sector.
