On October 1, 2024, Dr. Gladys Kalema-Zikusoka, a renowned Ugandan wildlife veterinarian, captivated the audience at Purdue University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Speaking to veterinary students in Lynn Hall, Dr. Kalema-Zikusoka shared her inspiring message on gorilla conservation, highlighting her groundbreaking work in protecting Uganda’s gorilla populations and promoting community-based conservation.
