World Wildlife Day should remind us that Bwindi’s next crisis is preventable

• Bwindi has been at those points of vulnerability before but we can avoid it getting there again. Its story can remain a point of national pride. To keep it that way, we must act while we still have room to steer. If we wait until over-development and disease outbreaks force our hand, we will be responding to a crisis we could have prevented.
